From Catania to Milazzo (and viceversa)

 

There are several options to reach Milazzo from Catania. The most convenient is the Giuntabus bus. It starts from Catania Airport at 16.00 and arrives at Milazzo Port in about one and half hours.

There are several other options to go from Catania airport to Milazzo port (and viceversa) by bus that require a stop in Messina. The connection between Catania Airport and Messina is operated by SAIS while the trip between Messina and Milazzo Port is operated by Giuntabus. The bus terminals of SAIS and Giuntabus are 200 meters distant from each others as shown in the map below. The area is generally a safe area and you can walk from one terminal to the other.

By train

It is possible to reach Milazzo also by train. Below we provide the schedules of the train in the conference period. If you take the train you must change in Messina.

Catania Railway Station can be reached from the airport by means of a regular bus service (Alibus line). The cost of the ticket is lower than one euro and there is one Alibus each 20 minutes. The duration of the ride strongly depends on the traffic conditions (it may take from 15 minutes to 45 minutes during rush hours).

From Milazzo Railway Station to Milazzo Port there is taxi service. The ride takes 10-12 minutes and the cost is 11 euros (flat rate).
